AN AWARD-WINNING CONFERENCE
The inaugural conference of the BOMSA, The National Undergraduate Orthopaedic Symposium (NUOS19) was held at Barts and The London School of Medicine & Dentistry. The event welcomed over 120 students from across the United Kingdom to hear inspiring talks from orthopaedic surgeons, participate in orthopaedic workshops, develop an insight into the T&O training pathway and network with students and surgeons alike. The turnout made NUOS19 the largest undergraduate orthopaedic conference in the United kingdom. NUOS19 proudly showcased the research contributions of 26 attendees through a mixture of poster and podium presentations. The event went on to win Barts and The London's competitive Academic Event of the Year 2019.
The second instalment (NUOS20) took place at King's College London. Following our great achievement year earlier, we organised NUOS20 with one goal in mind - to create an even bigger and better event for our attendees from all over the UK. Gathering over 150 delegates, it became Europe's largest undergraduate orthopaedic conference.
